DrHugger practitioner code of conduct

This code describes the minimum standard of practitioner conduct. Before collaborating, ask for the current version, the person responsible for its implementation and how acceptance and compliance are handled.

Core responsibilities

• I maintain a strictly platonic and non-sexual framework.
• I ask for clear consent and do not make assumptions.
• I stop immediately when asked or whenever there is doubt.
• I do not present myself as a therapist or healthcare professional through DrHugger.
• I do not promise outcomes, a relationship, availability or another session.
• I do not request or retain unapproved personal data.
• I use only official channels and disclose conflicts of interest.

Prohibited conduct

• Sexual, romantic or coercive behaviour.
• Pressure, guilt or exchanging money or gifts for changes to boundaries.
• Contact without consent or continuing after a request to stop.
• Using or promoting substances that affect consent.
• Photography, recording or publication without separate lawful permission.
• Privately bypassing the official process, payment arrangements or complaints procedure.
• Misleading titles, certifications or health claims.

When something goes wrong

Stopping is the immediate safety priority. A practitioner must not investigate a complaint alone or pressure anyone to withdraw it. They must follow the approved reporting process and protect only the minimum necessary information.

Enforcement

The enforcement policy must define warnings, immediate suspension, investigation, termination, retraining and a responsible person. The existence of the code alone does not prove that all measures are implemented; ask for specific information.
