What is DrHugger?

DrHugger is for adults aged 18 and over seeking strictly platonic, non-sexual human contact, with an initial focus on Athens.

Status: We accept session requests and practitioner registrations of interest. Submission is not an automatic booking, acceptance of a working relationship or guarantee of availability.

What it is

A clearly defined platonic framework for human connection.
A process with information provided by a person rather than automatic booking.
A service in which consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn.
An option in which each session requires confirmation of procedures, actual availability and responsible people.

What it is not

It is not psychotherapy, a medical procedure, diagnosis or treatment.
It is not a sexual, romantic, dating or escort service.
It does not replace friends, relationships, a healthcare professional or public support services.
It is not an emergency service and does not promise relief from loneliness.

How it works

The person interested reads the framework, limitations and consent rules.
They submit only the minimum necessary details through the contact page.
A person confirms that they are aged 18 or over, their area, availability and their understanding of the boundaries.
Costs, terms, practical details and the right to stop are explained before any commitment.
A specific session can be considered only when the approved prerequisites are in place and functioning.

Consent without assumptions

Consent applies to the particular form of contact at that particular moment. Silence, previous agreement, being present or payment do not constitute lasting permission. Either person can say no, ask for a change or stop immediately.

For prospective practitioners

The Practitioner Pack presents DrHugger’s training pathway. Request specific information about content, duration and assessment. It is not an externally accredited qualification and does not guarantee a working relationship, clients or income. Practitioner registration of interest is separate from training.

Why Athens first

The initial focus is Athens. Availability in another area will not be advertised without demonstrated operational capacity.
